Deputies Apprehend Two Subjects Breaking Into Liberty Twp. School

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that at approximately 2:25 am today, deputies received an alarm activation at the Heritage Elementary School in Liberty Township. When deputies arrived to check the premises, two subjects were observed inside the school. Both subjects fled out the rear door of the building. Due to the quick response to the location and the action of the Sheriff’s deputies, the two were apprehended a very short time later.

Sheriff Jones states “My deputies did an outstanding job catching these guys quickly. The bad guys went to jail and the good guys won.” He credits the diligent work of his road patrol and K9 unit for their efforts in stopping these two subjects in their tracks. The Investigations Unit will be following up on this case.
