Sheriff Responds To President Obama’s Amnesty For Illegal Aliens

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones sent letters to President Obama, Congressman Boehner and Senator Reid re-stating his position that securing the nation’s border should be the first step in immigration reform.  On November 20th, President Obama side-stepped Congress and granted amnesty to almost five million illegal immigrants.

Congressman Boehner responded to the letter agreeing with the Sheriff.  He stated in his response: “This is exactly what the American people said they didn’t want. I have been very clear that the President’s promise of unilateral action on executive amnesty is the wrong way to govern.”
