Several Meth Labs Located During Search Warrant

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that yesterday, around 2 PM, the City of Middletown Police were attempting to serve a warrant on Steve Sexton, 48 year-old male, at 2916 Locust Street in Lemon Township. While on scene, a methamphetamine lab was located and B.U.R.N. (Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics) Taskforce responded to assist.

Agents observed an active methamphetamine lab in the backyard of the residence as well as 12 inactive methamphetamine labs. There were multiple items of drug paraphernalia and chemicals used for the production of methamphetamine. “I appreciate the work that all these guys do. These chemicals and the paraphernalia that are used to make meth is flammable, it is toxic, and can burn skin and even explode. It is extremely dangerous but drug dealers don’t care about that. We do, and we will continue to put these short order cooks in jail, said Sheriff Jones, “We are grateful to the Middletown Police Department for their assistance.”
