Butler County Sheriff, Richard K. Jones and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Resident Agent in Charge Timothy Reagan report that on February 3rd the Butler County Sheriff’s Office BURN (Butler Undercover Regional Narcotics) Task Force, along with the DEA, seized over two pounds of Mexican heroin, one pound of cocaine, a handgun and $52,000 in U.S. currency.

BURN and DEA agents contacted suspected drug trafficker Arnulfo Vazquez-Ledesma in the area of Woodstock Drive in Fairfield. After a K-9 alerted on the vehicle being operated by Vazquez-Ledesma, a search was conducted. Agents located a large amount of U.S. currency concealed in the trunk of the vehicle.  Agents subsequently conducted a search warrant at the residence of Vasquez-Ledesma located at 58 Woodstock Drive. In the residence, agents located over two pounds of heroin and a pound of cocaine.  Agents also located additional U.S. currency totaling over $52,000.

Vazquez-Ledesma was taken into federal custody and detained on federal drug trafficking charges.  The drugs seized have a combined street value of approximately $150,000.

“Another win for the good guys! These dealers need to learn to stay out of Butler County” said Sheriff Jones. Sgt. Jason Owens the supervisor of the Butler County Drug Task Force stated “It was a great seizure that speaks highly of inter-agency cooperation”.
