Son charged with “drugging” elderly mother and aid worker

A woman that works for Interim Healthcare was assigned to care for 79 year old Nancy Kemper. While at Mrs. Kemper’s Fairfield home on Wednesday April 6th the home healthcare worker ate a brownie that was offered to her by Mrs. Kemper. Mrs. Kemper stated that her son Kurtis Lee Kemper had made them. The home healthcare worker became violently ill yesterday and went to a local emergency room. While at the emergency room the home healthcare worker was told she had ingested marijuana.

When questioned today, Kurtis Lee Kemper 45, admitted that he in fact made the marijuana laced brownies and served them to his mother without her knowledge that they contained an illegal substance. Kurtis Lee Kemper was charged with two counts of corrupting another with Drugs, Felony 4 and booked into the Butler County Jail.

Sheriff Jones said, “This is a low as it gets, that a son would jeopardize the health and welfare of his own mother and the home healthcare professional that is simply there to do her job, is just pathetic.”
