Last Friday, Deputy Sheriff Alan Halcomb retired from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office with twenty-four years of service.
Halcomb began his law enforcement career with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff on August 28, 1989. Since then, he worked assignments in the jail, on road patrol, and in Liberty Township. He served as a School Resource Officer in Lakota schools, and most recently was assigned to the CCW unit.
Halcomb received the Sheriff’s Office Commendation Award in June 2003 and a Military Service Award in November 2005.
Deputy Alan W. Halcomb served the citizens of Butler County with distinction and pride in his many assignments, and we wish him well in his retirement!
