Last Friday, Deputy Sheriff Alan Halcomb retired from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office with twenty-four years of service.

Halcomb began his law enforcement career with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff on August 28, 1989. Since then, he worked assignments in the jail, on road patrol, and in Liberty Township. He served as a School Resource Officer in Lakota schools, and most recently was assigned to the CCW unit.
