Pamela was born in Hamilton and grew up in Seven Mile. She graduated from Edgewood High School and entered the work force with the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. She then worked for a law firm in Dayton and one in Hamilton before moving to Georgia where she worked on a military post as a civilian Office Manager. She returned to Hamilton, Ohio and began employment on September 6, 1984, as Secretary to the Administrative Assistant of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.  On August 29, 1985 she was reassigned as Executive Secretary for Sheriff Robert R. Walton until his retirement in 1988. She continued as Executive Secretary for Sheriff Richard S. Holzberger from 1989 through 1993 and Sheriff Harold “Don” Gabbard from 1993 through 2005.
