In
the year 2000, the Butler County Commissioners, The Butler County Sheriff’s
Office and Resolutions; Community Solutions started construction on our new
Direct Supervision, Maximum Security Jail.
In August of 2002, we
moved our first inmates into the new, state of the art, modern Jail
Facility. In 2010, we had approximately 106 Correctional Employees and
booked 13,973 inmates and released 14,013 inmates.
The average daily
population for this Jail alone was 755 inmates. Along with our Court Street
Jail Facility, the average daily population for 2010 was 920 inmates, all
Direct Supervision.
