The Butler County Adult
Investigations Unit work on a wide variety of cases that include homicides,
robberies, burglaries, thefts and just about any other type of reported criminal
activity. Once a crime has been reported, the Investigations Unit, commonly
referred to as the Detectives Bureau, are responsible for the
ensuing
investigation and efforts to bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.
Investigators have been supplied with the latest advances in technology to
investigate criminals and drug dealers.
With
such a diverse caseload, these detectives must be skilled in the many methods of
investigating the criminal element. It is not uncommon for these
individuals to complete the role of photographer, evidence technician, victim
advocate and interrogator, all in the same day.
The primary responsibility for any police agency is to investigate crimes committed against the citizens it is sworn to protect. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Adult Investigation Unit provide the necessary skills and tenacious attitude required.
