A Butler County “Top Ten Most Wanted” Arrested in Middletown
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Reedis McCoy, III, age 31, this morning outside a Church Avenue, Middletown, residence where he had been staying. McCoy was listed on the Sheriff’s Office “Ten Most Wanted” poster. He had previously been arrested and charged for a 2009 burglary in Middletown. After not abiding by a judge’s orders in disposition of that case, a warrant for his arrest was issued back in October, 2010. McCoy had been “on the run” since then, leading to his eventual placement on the “Top Ten Most Wanted” list.
Sheriff’s Deputies had recently developed information leading them to believe he was staying at 1603 Church Ave., Middletown. The house was placed under surveillance, and McCoy was observed outside the residence this morning. He was taken into custody without incident. He is currently housed in the Butler County Jail.
