Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports Deputies were called to a residence in the 5100 block of Colorado River Trails in Liberty Township residence shortly after 2 pm today, where a 40-year-old male stated he found his girlfriend lying on the floor. The female was found lying in the kitchen area, deceased, with multiple trauma wounds, believed to be from a knife. The male’s father, who also resides at that address, and a Honda vehicle, were both missing.

Around 5 pm, the vehicle and the 68-year-old father were found in the City of Hamilton. Sheriff’s Office Investigators are currently interviewing both males at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters in an attempt to determine what actually occurred at the residence today.
