For Immediate Release…. December 20, 2007

Illegal Aliens Arrested In Fairfield For Forging Documents.

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces the results of an undercover investigation. During the investigation, undercover officers purchased a forged Social Security Card and a forged Permanent Resident Card from Nestor Jesus Peneda-Ramos and Jose Edgar Diaz-Aguirre.

On Tuesday, December 18th, 2007, undercover officers met with Pineda-Ramos, in West Chester, and provided a picture and name for the documents. Peneda-Ramos and Diaz-Aguirre delivered the documents to an undercover officer, on Wednesday, December 19th , 2007, at a Fairfield Mexican restaurant, and was immediately arrested. Deputies found marked money on Diaz-Aguirre. Deputies also located a ledger, at the time of arrest. Deputies believe the ledger is that of previous sales of other identification cards. The identification cards included California, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Permanent Residence Cards, and social security cards. A fraudulent Mexican driver’s license was also located on Peneda-Ramos. During the investigation, Pineda-Ramos, on multiple occasions, refused to do the transaction in the city of Hamilton, the home of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Both Peneda-Ramos and Diaz-Aguirre admitted to being illegal aliens from Mexico. Diaz-Aguirre stated he entered the United States just 31 days before his arrest. Both individuals refused to provide addresses where they are living.

Pineda-Ramos and Diaz-Aguirre are currently being held in the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Complex. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a “holder” on both subjects for possible deportation procedures.

Arrested:
Jose Edgar Diaz-Aguirre, age 33, Forgery, 2 counts (M-1) and Identity Fraud (F-5)
Nestor Jesus Pineda-Ramos, age 25, Forgery, 2 counts (F-5), Identity Fraud (F-5), and No Operators License (M-1)
