Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Phone Service Will Be Interrupted

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that all non-emergency phone service at the Sheriff’s Office will be temporarily interrupted and out of service tomorrow, September 9, beginning at 5:30 pm, for an estimated two to three hour time frame. The temporary shut-down is necessary while new equipment is installed. The interruption will affect all non-emergency Dispatch lines and all internal phone lines. Phone company officials have indicated that emergency 9-1-1 lines will not be affected during this equipment upgrade.

By scheduling this temporary interruption of non-emergency phone service after “normal business hours,” the Sheriff’s Office hopes to minimize any inconvenience the shut-down may create.
