Car/Pedestrian Crash in Hanover Township Under Investigation
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports a Hanover Township man is hospitalized after being struck by a car this morning. Preliminary investigation indicates that Paul Menchen, age 92, was walking across Minton Road in Hanover Township near his residence in the 2500 block shortly after 7am today. He was struck by an eastbound 1997 Honda Civic, driven by Elizabeth Flum, age 16, of Morman Road, Hamilton. Mr. Menchen was originally transported by Hanover Squad to Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton. He was subsequently transported to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. No charges have yet been filed in the incident. The Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigations Unit continues to investigate the crash.
