“Illegal immigrant arrested for trafficking in fraudulent documents…
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces that his undercover officers arrested an alleged illegal Mexican immigrant today after he sold officers two fraudulent documents. Undercover agents were able to purchase a fictitious United States Social Security Card and Permanent Resident Card (also known as a “green card”) today from Efren Morales-Reynoso for $140.00 (one hundred and forty dollars).
Morales-Reynoso met with the agents yesterday and took $20.00 (twenty dollars) as deposit from them with the agreement to make the fraudulent documents. Morales-Reynoso then met with the agents today and delivered the documents after receiving the remainder of the money. Morales-Reynoso was arrested on Interstate 75 near Union Center Blvd. and charged with two counts of (Felony 5) Forgery. Taken from the suspect at the time of the arrest was the original $140.00 used to make the purchase, an additional $160.00, and a 1997 Chrysler, Town and Country van.
Morales-Reynoso is currently being held in the Butler County Jail pending further court disposition. Morales-Reynoso is self-reported to be 23 years of age from Mexico and here illegally in this country. He listed his current address as “at large”. He will most likely face deportation procedures after the current criminal proceedings are concluded.
