Suspects Arrested After Daytime Burglary


Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones credits an alert homeowner, coupled with swift action by Deputies, for the arrest of multiple suspects within minutes of a burglary yesterday, August 9, 2010. Around 1:00pm, suspects broke into a residence in the 2800 block of Eaton Rd. in St. Clair Township, and stole guns and jewelry. The homeowner saw the suspects leaving his residence and provided Deputies with a complete description of the get-a-way vehicle and its license plate. Deputies spotted the vehicle within minutes and were able to stop the vehicle in the city of Hamilton. With the assistance of Hamilton Police Department and New Miami Police Department, three subjects were taken into custody.

Rockey Whicker, age 19, Brian Clark, age 20, and Jason Saylor, age 19 were arrested and taken to the Butler County Jail. They are all charged with Felony 2 Burglary and Felony 5 Theft through Hamilton Municipal Court. The stolen property has also been recovered.
