Madison Township Motorcycle Crash Results in Fatality

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on August 22, 2010, at approximately 1840 hours, Deputies along with Madison Township Life and Fire were dispatched to the 5400 block of Trenton Franklin Road for a report of a motorcycle and vehicle crash.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2007 Harley Davidson, operated by Gail Arnold (age 43) of Xenia, Ohio, was proceeding Northbound on Trenton Franklin Road when Mrs. Arnold appeared to have went left of center and struck a 2008 Jeep operated by Roger Williams of Middletown, Ohio head on. Mrs. Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner's Office. It is uncertain at this time if speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Mrs. Arnold was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

This accident remains under investigation by the Butler County Sheriff's Office Traffic Investigation Unit/Task Force and the Butler County Coroner's Office.
