Victim from Madison Township Fatal Crash Identified

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that the family of the victim involved in the fatal crash this morning on Trenton-Franklin Road in Madison Township has been notified. Douglas A. Lane, age 30, of Germantown, Ohio was traveling Eastbound on Trenton-Franklin Road in a 1999 Chevrolet S10 when he failed to control the vehicle in a curve. He traveled through a guard rail, struck a utility pole support cable, and traveled over a small embankment causing the vehicle to roll. Mr. Lane was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s office. The incident remains under investigation by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigation Unit.
