The Butler County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 0843 hours on today’s date, an auto accident was reported on St Rt. 130 at Morman Rd. Upon officers’ arrival, a single vehicle was located near mile post 2 and had struck a utility pole on the north side of the roadway. The single occupant/driver was Rose A. Woodbridge, age 56 of Oxford, Ohio. Mrs. Woodbridge was traveling eastbound on the roadway which was heavily saturated from the morning rains. She was extricated from the vehicle by Hanover Twp Fire Department and Life Squad. After extrication, immediate treatment by Hanover Twp Life Squad was administered. Due to the severity of her injuries she was pronounced deceased at the scene by the medical staff of University of Cincinnati Air Care.

Preliminary investigation has found that Mrs. Woodbridge was a member of the Hanover Twp Life Squad. At the time of the accident, she was driving her personal vehicle in an emergency response to a separate accident scene located at St. Rt. 130 at Boyle Rd. Her personal vehicle was equipped with emergency overhead lighting which was still operational upon officer’s arrival. It appears that Mrs. Woodbridge failed to maintain control of her vehicle on the wet roadway and lost control striking the utility pole.
