Fatal Crash on SR 73

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports:

On 08/07/06 at approximately 2250 hours Deputies responded with Wayne Township Fire, Wayne Township EMS and Seven Mile EMS to State Route 73 near Cotton Run Rd. to investigate an injury accident.

Witnesses observed a 2000 Buick Regal traveling east on SR 73. The Buick ran off the right side of the road, crossed over Cotton Run Rd. and rolled over twice. The driver and sole occupant was ejected during the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The victim, a 61 year old female from Trenton was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Any information regarding the incident should be directed to the Traffic Investigations Division.
