Arrest made in extortion case
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces that an arrest has been made after an investigation into a claim that a victim of a domestic violence complaint had made contact with a member of the suspect’s family to “buy her silence”. The original complaint involved a Bobby Musgrove Jr, who was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence on 05-04-07 (case #2007-05-0073) and on 05-06-07 (case #2007-05-0121). The alleged victim of the Domestic Violence complaints, Kimberly L. Bowling, (aka; Kimberly Sams), age 35 years, formerly of Old Oxford Rd. in Hanover Twp, Butler County, Ohio, contacted a family member of Mr. Musgroves’ and offered him to “buy her silence” in court against Musgrove for the sum of $35,000.00.
On today’s date, after further investigation into the complaint, Kimberly Bowling was arrested and charged with Extortion and Bribery- both Felony Three offenses in the State of Ohio and if convicted could carry a prison sentence ranging from 1 to 5 years for each offense. Ms. Bowling was booked into the Butler County Jail awaiting arraignment in the Hamilton Municipal Court with a total bond amount of $ 7,082.00.
