Fatal Crash in Liberty Township

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports Deputies and Emergency Rescue personnel from Liberty Township were dispatched to the 6600 block of Kyles Station Road shortly before 1:30 pm this afternoon for a single vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation indicates that Brandon S. Marshall, age 27, of Liberty Township, was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota pickup truck westbound on Kyles Station. His vehicle crossed left of center and off the left side of the roadway where it struck a fire hydrant. The vehicle overturned, coming to rest partially on top of a guard rail. Marshall, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office. Both the Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
