For Immediate Release…. June 19, 2007
Benefit Fund Set Up to Help Sheriff’s Office Employee
On June 17, 2007, a fire in Hanover Township destroyed the house where Lisa Roberts, a Clerical Specialist (and former Dispatcher) at the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, lived with her two young-adult children. Although she and her children escaped the fire unhurt, they unfortunately lost just about all their personal possessions, which were not insured. They are currently living with relatives in the area as they try to rebuild their lives while searching for a new place of their own.
The Sheriff’s Office has received many calls from her friends and various people who have worked with Lisa in the past, all offering to help. In response to those calls, and with assistance from Fifth Third Bank, the “Lisa Roberts Benefit Account” has been established. Any person wanting to help Lisa in her time of need can go to any area Fifth Third Bank office and make a deposit to her fund. Any donation, of any size, would be greatly appreciated by Lisa and her family.
