Body of Teenager Found by Children Playing

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the death of a 13 year old male in Liberty Township. According to detectives, children playing in a cul de sac on Liberty Farms Drive, in Raven’s Crest subdivision, discovered the body and notified their father, who, in turn, contacted the Sheriff’s Office. The incident is still under investigation. “Anytime a young person’s life is cut short, it’s a tragedy,” said the Sheriff. “The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Butler County Coroner’s Office to resolve the case and give the family some closure.”
