Sheriff’s Office Now Provides Law Enforcement Services to New Miami

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces that effective immediately, Sheriff’s Office personnel now provides all law enforcement services to residents and businesses of New Miami. At a meeting earlier this evening, the New Miami Village Council voted to disband their police department. After learning of that council decision by a Sheriff’s Office representative who attended that meeting, Sheriff Jones has reallocated on-duty staff to ensure that New Miami residents have access to patrol and police protection with no interruption of service.

Said Sheriff Jones, “My office stands ready to assist the residents and businesses of New Miami 24/7. Our help is but a 9-1-1 phone call away.”
