Sheriff’s Office Raids Working Meth Lab in Somerville

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports Deputies and Undercover Agents from the Drug & Vice Investigations Unit, along with assistance from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant on West Church St., Somerville, Thursday night (August 2) where a working meth lab was discovered. Deputies donned biohazard suits to clean up the operation. Once the lab was disassembled by Deputies, The Drug Enforcement Agency had to be contacted to gather contaminated products. Numerous complaints of suspected illegal drug activity led to the lengthy investigation (over a year) that culminated with that raid.

Robert Parish, age 43, of Tator Ridge Rd., West Union, OH, was arrested at the scene, charged with Possession of Meth Amphetamine (felony 5), and taken to the Butler County Jail. Agents confiscated a shotgun, three (3) respirator masks, and various chemicals and drugs.

On Friday, August 3, warrants were signed for the arrest of Duane Parish, age 45, who is believed to reside at the 132 W. Church St. address. The Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking any information on the where-a-bouts of Duane Parish. He is described as a white male, approx. 5’10” tall, weighing approx. 200 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He is charged with Manufacturing Meth Amphetamine (felony 2), and Assembly of Chemicals for the Manufacturing of Drugs (felony 3). Anyone having information on the where-a-bouts of Duane Parish is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (513) 785-1300, or their local police.
