For Immediate Release…. November 20, 2007

Fourth Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” Capture In Four Weeks.

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces today the arrest of one of his “Most Wanted”. Allen Meyers was taken into custody Saturday morning, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, by the Lawrenceburg Police Department. Meyers was wanted on warrants for Trafficking in Drugs, Weapons Under Disability, and Non-support of Dependants. Tips from citizens led Butler County Deputies to believe Meyers was staying with family members in Lawrenceburg. A request was made to the Lawrenceburg Police Department to Be On the Look Out (BOLO) for Meyers. Meyers was taken into custody within 48 hours of the request. At the time of the arrest, Lawrenceburg Police located a firearm. Meyers is currently being held in Indiana. Meyers will face charges in connection with the firearm before he is returned to Butler County to face the charges on the warrants.

Meyers is the 4th “Most Wanted” taken into custody since the latest “Most Wanted” poster was updated on October 24th, 2007. Past arrests on the current edition of the “Most Wanted” poster include: Jeremy Plummer (Burglary), Charles Denlinger (Fail To Register), and Roger French Jr. (Non-support).

The “Most Wanted” poster can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Office website at www.butlersheriff.org. Sheriff Jones considers getting these criminals off the streets a high priority. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of any of these wanted persons is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (513) 785-1300, contact their local law enforcement agency, or call 9-1-1.
