Four Sheriff’s Office “Most Wanted” Captured In One Week

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces today the arrest of several of his “Most Wanted”. Within seven days of posting the 6th edition of Butler County’s “Most Wanted” last week, four of the ten have been taken into custody. Most of the arrests have taken place as a result of tips from the public.

The first to be arrested was Rodrick Curtis, on 03-21-08. Curtis, a carryover from the previous “Most Wanted” list, was wanted on Non-Support of Dependants warrants. He was tracked down by the Warrants division of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, aided by tips from the public.

On 03-22-08, Murrie Conley Jr. was arrested by Middletown Police for Drug Abuse and the Failure to Register warrant that placed him on the “Most Wanted” list. Conley, also on a previous “Most Wanted” list had been arrested before for his Failure to Register. He was released on bond, but then failed to appear for his court appearance.

On 03-24-08, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Warrants Division, received tips on the location of Randall Adkins. Adkins, wanted for Non-Support, had fallen behind over $14,500 on 6 open cases. Adkins was arrested later that day.

On 03-25-08, Garnet Steele, wanted for Escape for failing to respond to her Parole Officer, was arrested by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, also the result of a tip. The Escape warrant was issued in December of 2006.

The “Most Wanted” poster can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Office website at www.butlersheriff.org. Sheriff Jones considers getting these criminals off the streets a high priority. Anyone with information concerning the where-a-bouts of any of these wanted persons is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (513) 785-1300, contact their local law enforcement agency, or call 9-1-1.
