Madison Township Coach charged for sexual relations with student

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced today that a coach from the Madison Township School District has been arrested a charged for having sexual relations with a student from the school. David James Wagner (32 years of age) is charged with two counts of Sexual Battery (Felony- 3rd degree each) for engaging in sexual activity with a 17 year old juvenile student from Madison High School.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office began looking into a complaint filed on 05-11-08 involving Wagner and an 18-year-old student. After further investigation a separate investigation unfolded involving a different student that lead to the subsequent arrest of Wagner. He was booked into the Butler County Jail pending future court hearing(s) and disposition through Area III. Court.
