Citizen’s Tip Leads to Most Wanted Arrest.
Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces today the arrest of one of his “Most Wanted”. Anthony Brown was arrested as a result of a citizen contacting the Sheriff’s Warrant Division with Brown’s whereabouts. Anthony Brown, who was placed on the Sheriff’s Most Wanted in July, 2008, for criminal non-support warrants, was located in the 1100 block of Hanover Street, in Hamilton. Due to the close working relationship with Butler County’s Child Support Enforcement Agency, every Sheriff’s “Most Wanted” poster displays two persons wanted for criminal non-support.
Brown is the 39th “Most Wanted” taken into custody since the “Most Wanted” posters premiered in February of 2006. Citizen tips have been critical to the success of the “Most Wanted” and the Sheriff’s Office continues to ask for more tips.
The “Most Wanted” poster can be viewed on the Sheriff’s Office website at www.butlersheriff.org. Sheriff Jones considers getting these criminals off the streets a high priority. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of any of these wanted persons is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (513) 785-1300, contact their local law enforcement agency, or call 9-1-1.
