Agencies Work Together for Drug-related Arrest

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones and Fairfield Police Chief Michael Dickey report the successful conclusion yesterday, November 16, of a Fairfield PD drug investigation that resulted in one arrest. Unable to locate a suspect at his Fairfield residence, Fairfield Special Investigations Officers requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office to attempt to locate and arrest the suspect at a location off Joseph Rd. in St. Clair Township. A search of a house and barn on lots #20 and #21 Kennedy Camp by Officers and Deputies resulted in not only the location and arrest of the suspect, but evidence of a Methamphetamine lab.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Drug and Vice Unit along with Sheriff’s Office employees specially trained for Clandestine Lab clean up conducted a thorough search of both lots and discovered numerous components and chemicals commonly used for the manufacturing of Methamphetamine. Found in the search was approximately 4 grams of a “finished” product that field-tested positive for Methamphetamine. All other items will be sent to the lab for further testing. Arrested was:

Donald W. Compton III, age 26, 139 Pauline Drive, Fairfield

He has been charged by the Sheriff’s Office with Illegal Manufacture of Drugs (felony 2); Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for Manufacturing of Drugs, (felony 3); and Possession of Drugs (felony 4)

He faces additional charges from Fairfield.

Compton is currently being held in the Butler County Jail.
