One Arrested In West Side Under Cover Investigation

Sheriff Richard Jones announces that members of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Regional Narcotics (BURN) Unit purchased 2 pounds of marijuana at the Kerasotes Movie Theaters on Main Street, in the City of Hamilton. After the purchase, Jeffrey Marcum, age 22, was arrested for the transaction. On 8-5-09, at approximately 1915 hours, Marcum arrived at the theaters and sold the 2 pounds of marijuana to an undercover agent. Also in the vehicle was Jeremy Jackson, who was arrested for outstanding warrants through Hamilton Municipal Court, and a juvenile female. Marcum’s charges were upgraded due to a juvenile being present.

Permitting Drug Abuse, Felony 5

Seized: 1995 Jeep Cherokee
2 pounds of marijuana
