CAR CRASHES INTO SWIMMING POOL IN MILFORD TOWNSHIP


Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Deputies and members of the Milford Township Fire Department and Life Squad, responded to 4223 Hamilton-Richmond Road at approximately 2340 hours in reference to a car crashing into a swimming pool.
The investigation revealed that Richard Mahaney (42) of Somerville, Ohio was operating his 2009 Jeep Wrangler, north bound on Hamilton-Richmond Road, when he failed to negotiate a turn. He traveled off the roadway, thru a yard, and into a swimming pool, where the vehicle became completely submerged.
Mr. Mahaney was able to exit his vehicle. He refused medical treatment at the scene.

Mr. Mahaney was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, and transported to the Butler County Jail.
