Sheriff’s Office Joins Task Force One


Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced today that the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team has joined the Underwater Search, Rescue, and Recovery Division of Task Force One. Task Force One (TF-1) is a Special Operations Team that provides a regional response for Underwater Search, Rescue, and Recovery, Tactical Emergency Medical Support, and Clandestine Lab Response in Southwestern Ohio. The TF-1 Underwater Search, Rescue, and Recovery Division consists of nine (9) agencies from Southwest Ohio.

During such tough economic times we are working to find ways to consolidate resources and still maintain a high level of services for the public. Two officers from our agency will be assigned to train and work with existing members of the unit and when the need exists TF-1 will respond to Butler County to conduct dive operations. TF-1 has been in operation for many years and has proven to be a professional, reliable resource.
