Murder Suspect wanted in Michigan arrested in Butler County


Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced this afternoon that Nolan Ray George, a 67-year-old Butler County man, was arrested at the Parkside Inn on Hamilton-Middletown Rd. at approximately 4:15 p.m.

Investigators from the Butler County cold case unit have been working with the Michigan authorities over the past 18 months on a homicide that took place in December of 1968. The victim was Gwendolyn Perry, a 36-year-old female from Pontiac, Michigan.

Sheriff Jones states “ we were advised of the arrest warrant about 3:30 p.m. and by 4:15 p.m. the suspect was in custody.”

Mr. Nolan Ray George is currently being held in the Butler County Jail awaiting extradition back to Pontiac, Michigan.
