Drug Raid Near Lindenwald School Nets Cocaine and Guns – Five Arrested

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports undercover Drug and Vice Agents from the Sheriff’s Office and the Butler County Regional S.W.A.T. Team conducted a search warrant in the early evening hours of Monday, February 27, at 2720 Andrew Ave., Hamilton, OH. The warrant was obtained as a result of a continuing Sheriff’s Office investigation into illegal drug activity, that led agents to that house. The residence is within 1000 feet of Pierce Elementary School, resulting in elevated criminal charges for two of those arrested. In addition to nearly ½ kilo of crack and powder cocaine, two loaded handguns, various pills, and other drug paraphernalia (used for both drug manufacturing and drug abuse), were removed from the premises. Arrested at the scene were:

Ryan D. Johnson, age 31, of 2720 Andrew Ave., Hamilton, and Perez A. Keith, age 35, 176 Beckett St., Hamilton, both charged with 2 counts felony 1 “Trafficking in Drugs,” F-1 “Possession of Drugs,” F-1 “Illegal Manufacture of Drugs,” and F-2 “Possession of Drugs.” Johnson was also charged with F-5 “Permitting Drug Abuse.”

Miranda Sturgill, age 30, of 2720 Andrew Ave., Hamilton, charged with M-4 “Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.”

Stanley R. Johnson, age 30, 9089 Steamboat Way, West Chester, arrested on an outstanding “Contempt of Court” warrant from Hamilton Municipal Court

Melissa I. Dean, age 35, 725 Carlisle Ave., Hamilton, arrested on an outstanding “Failure to Appear” warrant from Domestic Relations Court.

The investigation continues and additional arrests are possible.
