BCSO StarThe Butler County Sheriff’s Office has developed a Professional Compliance Program set to launch in August 2013.

This Professional Compliance Program is separate from our Quality Assurance Program, which is aimed at determining whether an employee understands and is able to complete tasks associated with their job. The Professional Compliance Program was developed to promote courteous and professional conduct by Sheriff’s Office employees.

The program administrator will contact the citizen, from randomly selected calls, and ask the citizen a series of questions. The citizen will be asked to score the Sheriff’s Office employees that they had contact with. These questions will cover employees in the 9-1-1 dispatch center as well as any responding deputies. The questions will be aimed at merely determining the professionalism and courteousness of the Butler County Sheriff’s employees. Once the Professional Compliance program is completed for the month, all employees who had a call selected will be notified how they were scored.  Any employee receiving a perfect score, from the citizen, will receive a letter of appreciation.
