New Suspect in Liberty Township Arson Case

The Butler County Sheriff ‘s Office has continued working diligently on the aggravated arson case that occurred in Liberty Township.  On Saturday November 30th, 14 year old Dylan Bellis was set on fire while visiting a friend in Countryside Trailer Park.  Detectives received new information late last week that another juvenile is the one responsible.  Detective Schuster noted the suspicions in the initial investigation and questioned witnesses who indicated 17 year old James Craycraft was the culprit.  Sergeant Rob Whitlock said “we put a lot of pressure on a lot of people in the trailer park because of the inconsistencies after the fact.  We have a child with severe injuries and all the fingers pointed in one direction, until now.”  The victim is still at Shriners Hospital recovering.
