On Sunday morning, July 21st, BCSO deputies and BURN task force agents made a “controlled” traffic stop along US Route 27 in Ross Township. As a result, 155 pounds of marijuana, believed to have come from Mexico, were seized along with cash and a Chevy Tahoe. This brings the total marijuana seizures by Butler County BURN and BCSO deputies in 2012 and 2013 to more than a ton – 2,107 pounds. Most, if not all, of the marijuana was believed to be “imported” for Mexico.

Vidal Galle (a.k.a. Vidal Garcia-Gallegos), age 37, from Indianapolis and Mario Luis Vasquez-Ruiz, age 35, also from Indianapolis, were arrested and both charged with felony Trafficking in Drugs and Possession of Drugs. Garcia-Gallegos was also charged with a felony Possession of Drugs for having a small quantity of cocaine. Both subjects are housed at the Butler County jail. ICE (Immigration and Custom Enforcement) agents are also investigating the legal status of these individuals.
