Drug Investigation Leads Agents to Arrest and Large Marijuana Seizure

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that agents from the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Task Force, along with United States Postal Inspections, executed a search warrant on November 21, 2013 around 5:30 pm, at 7820 Plantation Drive in West Chester, Ohio. Agents were able to track packages containing drugs which were being sent to a resident of Plantation Drive from a southern California point of origin.

Agents seized a little over four pounds of marijuana which had been sent through the mail. Once agents entered the residence, they also discovered a significant marijuana grow operating in the basement. They seized 190 marijuana plants, miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles. In addition to the drugs, agents seized a 2002 Lexus.
