$5,000, Guns, and Heroin Seized by BURN Agents

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics (BURN) Agents successfully executed a search warrant at 2303 Oxford-State Road in Middletown, Ohio this morning, seizing about $5,000, heroin, multiple guns and drug paraphernalia.

The home, located within a school zone, contained approximately one ounce of heroin, $5,000 in cash, a drug press, multiple scales and a cutting agent for the heroin.

After further investigation agents were able to recover two weapons; one pistol, one semi-automatic AK 47 at a location within miles of the residence.

Accompanied by the Butler County SWAT team, agents entered the residents shortly after midnight on June 12, 2014. After securing the residents, agents arrested two males.

Arrested was Charles Lewis, 25, of Middletown. Lewis was charged with Permitting Drug Abuse, a Felony of the Fifth degree. Also, arrested was Bryant Greenwood, 24, of Middletown.  Greenwood was charged with Trafficking Heroin, a Felony of the First Degree, and Possession of Drugs, a Felony of the Second Degree. Both are housed at the Middletown City Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are pending.
