Subject Sought By Sheriff’s Office Identified

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that the subject that possibly jumped from a moving vehicle yesterday has been identified as Toby Rivers. A family member contacted the Sheriff’s Office today and advised deputies that Mr. Rivers is alive. The family member advised that this information was verified through a third party. No one from the Sheriff’s Office or the Fairfield Township Police Department has physically seen Mr. Rivers. Area hospitals were contacted yesterday to be on the lookout for the subject due to the fact he appeared to have face and head injuries. When the deputy approached him, he was covered in blood but got up and ran westbound into a field off of Bypass 4 in Fairfield Township.
