Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on February 5, 2012, at approximately 1445 hours Deputies along with Wayne Township Fire Department and Life Squad were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 73 at Jacksonburg Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a white 2002 Volvo was traveling Southbound on Jacksonburg Road at State Route 73 when the vehicle failed to yield at the stop sign. The Volvo then entered the lane of travel of a semi tractor-trailer. The semi operated by Craig Withrow age 45, struck the Volvo on the driver’s side of the car. The operator of the Volvo (Peter Morris age 85) was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
