Jones reports that Deputies were called to 215 Jacobs Street in Countryside Village Mobile Home Park, Liberty Township, around 4:30 pm yesterday afternoon (May 19, 2013), on a report of a male suspect shooting at people. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that during an altercation, Paul E. Maye, age 52, of 214 Jacobs Street, had fired a revolver (handgun) at his neighbor, Joshua Warren, age 26, of 215 Jacobs Street. The bullet grazed Joshua’s head, and a physical struggle for the gun ensued. During that struggle, another round was fired, striking a porch railing. Warren, the victim, was able to then subdue Maye, his assailant. Both men were taken to West Chester Medical Center for injuries sustained during the altercation. Maye is now facing charges of Attempted Murder and Felonious Assault, as well as a Weapons under Disability charge. As of this morning, Maye is still confined at West Chester Medical Center. The incident remains under investigation.
