Sheriff Richard K. Jones says he is always prepared to send help in times of crisis and mass incidents by utilizing his Emergency Response Service and Regional Swift Water Team. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Service (Technical Rescue) and the Regional Swift Water Team train monthly and covers Rope Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Confined Spaces, Haz-Mat, and Structural Collapse.  The training also incorporates the use of a drone using a low light camera and a Thermal camera for locating victims.  The members of the teams stay current in their training to assist in any emergency that may arise in or out of Butler County.

In addition, the teams will be training in the use of two side scan sonars that enable the teams to look under the surface of the water to find objects and victims of drownings.  The sonar gives a 3D image of the terrain under the surface even in fast moving and zero visibility water. “We’ve been called on in the past to help victims in Hurricane Katrina, riot situations and various incidents in the county.  It is nice having the equipment and trained personnel to help those in need,” said Sheriff Jones.

Friday, October 12th, the Emergency Response and Swift Water Teams will be at Hueston Woods for swift water rescue training.

UPDATE: This individual has been identified as Larry Joe Porter. We are still looking for any leads that anyone may have.

On May 18th, 1997, an unidentified male was found floating face-down amid debris in the Great Miami River. The body surfaced in Fairfield Township (Butler County, Ohio) near Reigart Road. His identity is still unknown.

Date: 5/18/1997
Case Number: 97-02699

This subject was a white male, age 35-60, approximately 5’10” and 120 to 140 pounds. All his teeth had been surgically removed within a year before death. There was evidence of a surgical repair to the bone over his right eye, which likely would have left a scar in that area.

He may have been in the water for 9 months or more. He could have been injured on the nearby Woodsdale Bridge and might have been knocked into the river, but the body could have entered the water anywhere north.

When found, he was wearing cutoff “Structure” brand jeans, a brown leather belt, size 30-32 underwear, a beaded black and silver necklace, and a maroon watch band. He had broken ribs, broken bones in both legs, and indications of cirrhosis of the liver, so there is a probable history of drinking alcohol.

His DNA was compared against available databases and no matches were found. If a possible relative were to come forward, advances in DNA technology may allow for a comparison test.

If you have information or think you know this man’s identity, contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Most Wanted Arrest for Aggravated Burglary is Illegal Alien

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones says after his updated most wanted poster went out this week, an anonymous tip came in on the whereabouts of Ismael Rey Saldana-Biurquiz.  Mr. Saldana-Biurquiz was wanted for Aggravated Burglary, a felony of the first degree, and intimidation of a witness, a felony of the 3rd degree, by the City of Hamilton. Upon his arrest, it was found that he is here illegally. The Butler County Sheriff’s Investigations and Warrants units worked diligently for three days to track him down. “Due to his past history, I am glad he was apprehended without anyone getting hurt,” said Sergeant Rob Whitlock.

Sheriff Jones said this is one of thMUGSHOTS_34104921e many reasons he is not seeking a seat in Congress at this time. “He is extremely dangerous and has been on the run since 2006. Anyone that will break into a home while people are present is a very brazen, careless individual.  He is also accused of threatening to kill someone who was set to testify against him.  He is here illegally and is serving no great purpose in our country.  This is another example of what I have said from the beginning.  Now, if he is convicted and stays here, the citizens of this country get to pay to feed him. I don’t think that is fair at all and I believe the American people are tired of it.  I am very proud of the hard work of my staff to get him off the street,” Sheriff Jones said.

The Sheriff encourages tips and phone calls to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office to report any illegal activity and any information about illegal immigrants.

12002192_920288431369755_2011586583628835205_nButler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones is very proud of one of his own for helping a homeless family. Deputy Brian Bussell, a 25 year veteran with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, noticed something was not quite right when he entered the jail lobby Sunday morning.

Kamagra It is a generic version of the genuine product which is vital when buying any generic medication get viagra australia online, you should beware of fraudulent online pharmacies. Here are the different types involved: Male enhancement websites – There are a lot of websites that explain you how to perform Pelvic Floor Exercise? They look for natural remedies as much as possible, shying away from mainstream medicine as much viagra uk best site as possible. You will find the names of Caverta, Zenegra, Zenegra, sildenafil levitra, Kamagra and Kamagra oral jelly, Silagra, and Forzest etc. “I know our visitation is at 9 AM, and I saw the lady and the 2 young children sitting in the chairs,” Deputy Bussell said. “I assumed they were here to visit someone in our jail. When I walked back out a while later, the children were asleep, and the lady was still sitting there so I inquired if she needed assistance.”

The lady had been evicted from her home in Oxford, Ohio where the children attend school. She stated she is in the waiting process for assistance with housing and should know something by Wednesday. Deputy Bussell, with the assistance of Dispatch Supervisor Miranda Sheppard, tried several shelters and other avenues to get them a place to stay. “Most of the shelters were overcrowded or there was a time requirement to be there and we were past that,” Deputy Bussell said. So he contacted a hotel in Oxford and booked a hotel for 10 days out of his own pocket.

Deputy Bussell took the family to the Walmart in Oxford. He told them to pick out clothes and to call him when they were ready to check out. The little boys asked if they could get shoes, and Deputy Bussell told them they absolutely could.

“He went to the Walmart when they were done and paid for everything,” Sheriff Jones said. “This is a true act of kindness. He did not tell anyone at work what he had done but the lady took a picture with him and posted it on Facebook. That’s actually how we found out. It was shared so many times that I got a phone call asking if I knew what a generous gesture my deputy did. I am pleased that he was able to help this family out. This speaks volumes in light of all the recent negativity people are saying about law enforcement. I have some of the best employees here.”
