Sheriff to Participate in Top Cop Challenge

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announces that he will be one of the participants in a challenge event next week at Kentucky Speedway. Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig issued the challenge to several area law enforcement agency heads, to see who might have the best driving skills when it comes to driving a race car. The event will take place on Thursday, May 16, at 1 pm at the Kentucky Speedway track in Sparta, KY. Track officials are hosting the event to be a part of Police Officer Memorial Week. The “Top Cop” winner will be presented with race tickets, and one-year supplies of Quaker State Motor Oil and Coca-Cola, all of which will be donated to area needy persons, charities and/or non-profit organizations of the winner’s choice.
