Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports Investigators from his office are looking into some recent farm animal injuries and deaths that have occurred in Reily Township. The situation surfaced late yesterday afternoon when a caller indicated some farm animals he had been keeping at a farm in the 7700 block of Gray Road had sustained cuts and lacerations from an unknown origin. Today, Investigators and the Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Officer visited the location, where they confirmed several sheep had, in fact, been injured (believed four fatally). The injuries all appeared to be caused by some kind of edged instrument. The investigation continues.
