As students return to school this fall, so do Butler County’s deputies. In March 2013, Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones announced a new program to promote safety within the public schools over which the Sheriff’s Office has primary or shared geographical jurisdiction. The program was successful and well received, and is beginning again this school year.
