Air Care Responds for Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that a traffic accident occurred this morning sending a pedestrian to the hospital with serious injuries.

At approximately 0600 hours a Ford F150 traveling southbound on US 127, driven by a Randy Collins (age 48), who is a Wayne Township resident, struck an 84 year old pedestrian in Seven Mile near the intersection of US127 and West Elkton Road. The pedestrian was transported to University Hospital by Air Care with serious injuries. The pedestrian is a resident of Seven Mile. The name and information of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of family members.
