Butler County Sheriff's Office Closing Warming Center

 Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on January 23, 2025 at 1700hrs. the warming center located in the lobby of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office located at 705 Hanover Street in Hamilton will be closing. 

With extremely cold temperatures we have been experiencing, the Sheriff opens up the lobby for the homeless to take shelter. With rising temperatures, the Sheriff’s Office lobby will be open for those engaging in daily operations only. 

“When the temperatures drop again, we’ll look into opening back up for those that need shelter, we want to help when we can,” states Sheriff Jones.
